Senate Ag Committee Advances President’s USDA Nominees

WASHINGTON – Under the leadership of Chairman John Boozman (R-AR), the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry advanced two nominees for positions at the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The following nominees were favorably voted to the full Senate:

·Mr. Dudley Hoskins, of the District of Columbia, to be Under Secretary of Agriculture for Marketing and Regulatory Programs; and

·Dr. Scott Hutchins, of Indiana, to be Under Secretary of Agriculture for Research, Education, and Economics.

“The Senate has an important role in the confirmation process and advancing these nominees reflects our commitment to ensuring capable leadership in key positions at USDA. I’m proud to support these individuals and look forward to voting for their confirmation on the Senate floor,” Boozman said.
