Thank you for your interest in applying for an internship with the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry!
This internship takes place in Washington, D.C, and runs throughout the fall, spring, or summer semesters for college students. The hours are flexible to accommodate students' course schedules, but generally run 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. when the Senate is in session, and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. when not in session.
Interns’ responsibilities will vary. They may be asked to answer phones, run errands, research legislation for the legislative staff, and attend hearings and briefings. As a result, interns learn about the legislative process and the many other functions of a Senate committee.
For questions or to apply for an internship, please contact the Committee at 202-224-2035.
