Lands Bills Approved by Senate Ag Committee

WASHINGTON - U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry Chairman John Boozman (R-AR) oversaw committee approval of a slate of bills to enhance public use of U.S. Forest Service lands.

“I’m proud to support commonsense solutions to ensure the U.S. Forest Service lands are managed efficiently, create recreation opportunities and support local communities. These bills impact nine states, and I’m pleased to work with the Senators and House members on both sides of the aisle who led this legislation,” Boozman said.

The following bills were advanced by the committee:

  • S. 1376, Benton MacKaye National Scenic Trail Feasibility Study Act
  • S. 1876, Stratton Ridge Air Force Memorial
  • S. 638, to Amend the Thye-Blatnik Act
