Chairman Roberts to Secretary Perdue: Help Is On The Way

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Just one day after Committee approval, U.S. Senator Pat Roberts, R-Kan., Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry, today is pleased to announce that Stephen Censky and Ted McKinney were approved by the U.S. Senate.

Upon swearing in, Stephen Censky, of Missouri, will serve as Deputy Secretary of Agriculture; and Ted McKinney, of Indiana, will serve as Under Secretary of Agriculture for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs within the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

“I am pleased that the U.S. Senate was able to work in a bipartisan and swift manner to confirm Stephen Censky and Ted McKinney,” Roberts said. “Secretary Perdue, help is on the way.”

The Senate Agriculture Committee held a hearing on the nominees on Sept. 19, and both nominees were favorably reported out of the Committee with a bipartisan voice vote on Oct. 2.
