The farm bill is comprehensive legislation that sets
national agriculture, nutrition, conservation and forestry policy.
Programs authorized by the farm bill provide important
tools to farmers to manage the risks of natural disaster, trade wars and market
downturn risks while they feed, fuel and clothe our nation and people around
the world.
The Senate Agriculture Committee is in the process of reauthorizing the farm bill.
*The Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 was ordered reported by a roll call vote of 20-1.
