Conservation Security Program
"CSP" — Conservation
Security Program — provides payments for producers who historically
have practiced good stewardship on their agricultural lands, and adds incentives
for those who want to do more.
2006 Conservation Security Program (CSP) sign-up was held from
late February through late April in 60 watersheds nationwide, responding to
Senate Ag Committee leaders urging that 2006 enrollment dates be set within
weeks to encourage more farmer/rancher participation.
